- Educational Philosophy: Our educational philosophy is rooted in strengthening the philosophical foundations of education through meaningful and transformative teacher education. We place Jharkhand’s indigenous and tribal knowledge traditions at the centre of learning, while responding to the changing needs of society. We believe that education should be utility-oriented, value-based, ethical, and socially relevant, enabling learners to understand and apply the fundamental dimensions of philosophy—Metaphysics, Epistemology, and Axiology—in their personal, professional, and social lives. Our approach seeks to develop teachers who are reflective, culturally sensitive, ethically responsible, and committed to social transformation. Education for awareness, human values, community participation, and social consciousness remains one of our foremost priorities.

To connect teacher education with tribal knowledge, indigenous traditions, regional languages, local culture, and community life. To strengthen pedagogical and practical competencies through school internship, hands-on activities, ICT, digital tools, and innovative teaching practices. To promote research, creativity, documentation, and dissemination of indigenous and educational knowledge. To nurture constitutional values, social responsibility, cultural sensitivity, environmental consciousness, and ethical conduct among student-teachers. "We welcome you all to our learning Community. Santosh College of Teachers’ Training and Education (established in 2008, NAAC B+, NCTE-approved, and affiliated with Ranchi University & Jharkhand Academic Council), is committed to providing quality and inclusive teacher education, particularly to learners from tribal, rural, urban, and urban-fringe areas. Our academic initiatives integrate research, project work, skill development, effective internships, value-added courses, seminars, lecture series, and faculty development programmes. We promote experiential learning through tribal food festivals, folk-song documentation, legal literacy, mentoring, community engagement, and other innovative educational activities. We strive to create a learner-centred academic environment through a Wi-Fi-enabled campus, digital library, green spaces, herbal garden, and facilities for art and craft and performing arts. Through our publications, including Gyan Piyush and the Tribal Food Recipe Book, we endeavour to preserve and promote the rich cultural knowledge and heritage of Jharkhand. Our efforts are aligned with the guidelines of UGC, NCTE, and our affiliating bodies, with a special focus on preparing competent teachers to meet the diverse linguistic and educational needs of Jharkhand.
